Product Description

Down and synthetic insulation both have their uses, but they also do an admirable job of covering up each others’ weaknesses, so it was pretty logical for Jack Wolfskin to combine them in the same piece of outerwear and let you reap the benefits. The result of this dream team, the Whiteline Downfiber Men’s Jacket, is a warm, water-resistant, and highly versatile ski jacket that’s ready to roll down powdery slopes, up blustery ridges, and across frigid peaks. Wolfskin calls the insulation Downfiber. It’s 70% 700-fill down, which is renowned for its packability and warmth-to-weight ratio and 30% Microguard Maxloft, which adds extra insulation and added water resistance to keep you warm if the day ends up soggy. All of this is packed inside Stormlock polyester, a tough and wind-blocking fabric that keeps the elements out and the insulation in. A good ski jacket needs a solid collection of features, too, and the Downfiber doesn’t disappoint. It starts out with Wolfskin’s Vent Support System, which features two underarm vents to let moisture escape and bring some cool air in, and a detachable powder skirt and drawstring hem keep the champagne powder and icy drafts from blowing up your back. A fixed insulated hood and inner cuffs seal up around your head and wrists, respectively, for increased snugness, and a series of pockets holds your phone, ski pass, and chairlift snacks in convenient spots.
