Sweet Protection made sure every seam was finished with waterproof tape to seal up microscopic gaps and hooked the Salvation up with a tuck-away powder skirt to stop cold smoke from blowing up your back. The Salvation is a pretty minimal jacket that focuses on streamlined protection rather than gimmicky features, but that doesn’t mean it’s bare bones. There are X-Opening underarm vents that pull in a cool breeze to keep your pits sweat free, and a helmet-compatible hood that cinches a releases via a glove-friendly Pull-Pull shock cord system. The chest pockets are big enough for skins, there’s a laminated internal pocket for a ski pass, and the asymmetrical cuffs and soft chin guard keep your wrists covered and your chin comfortable, respectively.
